The principle
This website sets no cookies, embeds no analytics or tracking services, and loads no third-party content at runtime. The fonts are hosted on our own server, so no connection to Google Fonts is made.
I only process personal data that you give me yourself: through the newsletter form, or when you write to me.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open the pages, the host processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time of access, the page requested, the amount of data transferred and your browser type. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in secure and stable operation.
A data processing agreement is in place with the host. Any transfer to third countries takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, I process your email address in order to send it to you. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
Sign-up uses the double opt-in procedure: after submitting the form you receive an email with a confirmation link. Only then are you added. Sign-up, confirmation and their timestamps are logged so that consent can be evidenced.
For sending I use Brevo, Brevo SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France as a processor; a data processing agreement is in place.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, via the unsubscribe link in every email or with a short message to me. After withdrawal I delete your address from the recipient list.
Contact by email
If you write to me, I process your details in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. Messages are kept for as long as necessary to handle them, or as long as statutory retention periods require.
Links to Instagram
This website links to my Instagram profile. No social media plugins are embedded, so data is only transmitted to Instagram once you click the link. From that point, Instagram's privacy policy applies.
Encryption
This website is served exclusively over HTTPS, so the transfer is encrypted.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, I process your name, email address, the subject of your enquiry and your message in order to answer it. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, alongside Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR.
To deliver that message I use the same processor as for the newsletter (see the newsletter section). Your details are not used for advertising and are not passed on to anyone else; in particular, using the form does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
I delete the enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent you have given at any time.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
